Pemuteran is a small fishing village, located at the North West coast of Bali, close to the national park Taman Nasional Bali Barat. It’s about 3 ½ hours drive from the International Airport Ngurah Rai.

Far away from the crowds Pemuteran is the perfect place to experience unspoilt nature and the traditional “real” Bali. It keeps its original character and only slowly opens to tourism.

The beaches around the bay, the pristine reefs as well as the picturesque surroundings attract nature lovers and culture interested people.

  • Diving and snorkelling: best spots in Bali, just off the shore

  • Taman Nasional Bali Barat: National Park, 160 species to be found, bird watching etc.

  • Menjangan Island: Marine park with world class dive sites (biodiversity bigger than in the whole Caribbean Sea)

  • Temples: Pura Pulaki (“Monkey Temple”), Pura Melanting, Pura Kertakawat are the most famous temples in the area amongst many others

  • Batu Kursi: view point to watch the sunset

  • Taman Wana Waterfall: an hour walk through the forest to a beautiful waterfall

  • Traditional Ceremonies: People in Pemuteran are very welcoming and open to foreigners. It’s easy to join traditional ceremonies throughout the year.
